Last Good Friday, my mom made a mango tapioca for us but then there were a few mangoes left. My sister said that we should make another mango tapioca because my brother ate all what my mom made. But I volunteered to make a Mango Royale instead. But because my brother was so excited to eat it, and it took so much time for the cream to get frozen. So I decided to put another layer of crushed graham crackers and mango on top. So instead of Mango Royale, it became a kinda mango float instead. Hehehehe.
If you want to try and make it, below is the recipe.
1 kilo of fresh ripe mangoes, about 3 pieces2 cups of cream (or 2 225-g. cartons)1 c. of sweetened condensed milk1-1/2 c. of crushed Graham crackers6 tbsps. of melted butter (more if you want a less crumbly crust)
The best way to start making this dessert is by chilling the cream and condensed milk. For best results, chill overnight in the fridge — not in the freezer.
Mix the melted butter and Graham crackers and press onto the bottom of a glass baking dish. Opaque or even plastic dishes will do so long as they’re okay to go into the freezer. Freeze the crust while you prepare the filling and topping.
Slice the mangoes, discard the stones then slice the flesh thinly.
In a bowl, mix the cream and sweetened condensed milk just until blended. Pour over the prepared crust. Top with the mango slices. Cover the dish with cling film and keep in the freezer for an hour to an hour and a half. Cut and serve.

For the past weeks or maybe past months and up until now, waking up every morning to go to work is really hard for me. Is it my job? Or is it just me?
Then I asked myself, who is my reason or what are my reasons in waking up everyday and strive hard? And when I enumerate the people who inspires me and the reason why I work hard, why is it that I still am having a hard time waking up every morning to go to work?
Haist! Hope I could really find that reason.
Saw this photo on my friend’s blog. It reminded me of myself so I posted it here.
I’m not talking about the artista search of GMA. This is all about my experience yesterday afternoon. While I was busy working, a YM message popped-up on my screen. She was thanking me because of the blog I wrote last Tuesday, April 12, 2011. (Bedroom Blog By Veronica) Well, if you’re wondering who am I talking about it’s no other than Miss Veronica Matilda herself (of course that is not her real name). At first, I really had a doubt if she really was who she telling me. But she assured me that it was her. Well, whether it was her or not, I was really so excited at that very moment to chat with her. Hehehehe! Talking about a real fan huh?
She told me that she found my blog while she was googling Bedroom Blog. Which is what she do sometimes. Google herself or Bedroom Blog on the internet. And guess what. I also googled channbear on the internet to confirm what she said. Hahahaha! And my blog is the 8th on the result list. Hehehehe! I really had a great time chatting with Miss V even if it was just for a short time.
Thanks again Miss V. Keep blogging.
Last Year, I joined the Cebu Blog Camp 2010 event held at the CAP building at Osmena Blvd. I met new people and learned so many things. I also took home so many freebies. Hehehe!
Last year also, we had more than 20 newbies who came in to work here on our office. And guess what. One of the newbies is a member of the Cebu Bloggers Society who among the many people present on the Cebu Blog Camp last year. What a coincidence right? Hehehe! The funny part is I have been following his blog for a month before I have realized that the blog that I was following was his’. Hahaha!
Yesterday, I have received an email, inviting me to register on the upcoming Cebu Blog Camp 2011 to be held at St. Joseph Hall in Sacred Heart Center. Without hesitation, I will be joining the said event. Aside from the fact that it is free, it is also the time wherein I can learn so many things, and meet new people.
If you want to join the said event too, just register here.
Everyday aside from checking my mail(personal and office mail) I never forget to check whether a new blog entry of my favorite blog is in. Well, that would be Bedroom Blog By Veronica. I really like to read her blog. It is funny, ma drama, and you can also learn so much from reading from her blog. Veronica is one of my inspiration why I keep on posting a blog entry even if I know that not a lot of people read what I write here. She inspires me in a way that I too, is hoping that someday I could also be like her, can inspire other people because of what i wrote. I also admire her for being so brave. Despite all the problems that she came across, she did not just lie in bed and cry it out and give up. She worked her butt out and face those things/people which were trying to destroy her.
That is really what we call “Girl Power”. I really salute all those women who is like Veronica. I hope you too could be able to read her blog and be inspired.
After how many times me and bhe2x played the UFO game in SM, we finally won. Yehey! I won the mickey mouse while he won the minnie mouse stuff toy. Hehehe! We tried several times again after we’ve won but unfortunately, we did not. 😦
“Date a girl who reads. Date a girl who spends her money on books instead of clothes. She has problems with closet space because she has too many books. Date a girl who has a list of books she wants to read, who has had a library card since she was twelve.
Find a girl who reads. You’ll know that she does because she will always have an unread book in her bag. She’s the one lovingly looking over the shelves in the bookstore, the one who quietly cries out when she finds the book she wants. You see the weird chick sniffing the pages of an old book in a second hand book shop? That’s the reader. They can never resist smelling the pages, especially when they are yellow.
She’s the girl reading while waiting in that coffee shop down the street. If you take a peek at her mug, the non-dairy creamer is floating on top because she’s kind of engrossed already. Lost in a world of the author’s making. Sit down. She might give you a glare, as most girls who read do not like to be interrupted. Ask her if she likes the book.
Buy her another cup of coffee.
Let her know what you really think of Murakami. See if she got through the first chapter of Fellowship. Understand that if she says she understood James Joyce’s Ulysses she’s just saying that to sound intelligent. Ask her if she loves Alice or she would like to be Alice.
It’s easy to date a girl who reads. Give her books for her birthday, for Christmas and for anniversaries. Give her the gift of words, in poetry, in song. Give her Neruda, Pound, Sexton, Cummings. Let her know that you understand that words are love. Understand that she knows the difference between books and reality but by god, she’s going to try to make her life a little like her favorite book. It will never be your fault if she does.
She has to give it a shot somehow.
Lie to her. If she understands syntax, she will understand your need to lie. Behind words are other things: motivation, value, nuance, dialogue. It will not be the end of the world.
Fail her. Because a girl who reads knows that failure always leads up to the climax. Because girls who understand that all things will come to end. That you can always write a sequel. That you can begin again and again and still be the hero. That life is meant to have a villain or two.
Why be frightened of everything that you are not? Girls who read understand that people, like characters, develop. Except in the Twilightseries.
If you find a girl who reads, keep her close. When you find her up at 2 AM clutching a book to her chest and weeping, make her a cup of tea and hold her. You may lose her for a couple of hours but she will always come back to you. She’ll talk as if the characters in the book are real, because for a while, they always are.
You will propose on a hot air balloon. Or during a rock concert. Or very casually next time she’s sick. Over Skype.
You will smile so hard you will wonder why your heart hasn’t burst and bled out all over your chest yet. You will write the story of your lives, have kids with strange names and even stranger tastes. She will introduce your children to the Cat in the Hat and Aslan, maybe in the same day. You will walk the winters of your old age together and she will recite Keats under her breath while you shake the snow off your boots.
Date a girl who reads because you deserve it. You deserve a girl who can give you the most colorful life imaginable. If you can only give her monotony, and stale hours and half-baked proposals, then you’re better off alone. If you want the world and the worlds beyond it, date a girl who reads.
Or better yet, date a girl who writes.”
Having been hurt for so many times whether in love, friendship or whatever the type of relationship it is, I always have this doubt in trusting other people. I have also this feeling that I would never find another person that would love me in return. Until Jaydee came into my life. He was the one who thought me how to really love other people who are not related to you unconditionally. He was the one who thought me how to love and trust again. Well, he was the only person who had the patience to understand my being so childish. Hehehe! It is really a nice feeling knowing that even if i am not a perfect person, that I have so many flaws, somebody who is so kind has love me and accepted me for who I am. It is really too good to be true. Even if others may say that we are not really a good match. For me, we are.
Thanks bhe2x for coming into my life.
P.S. Sorry for being so cheesy and sentimental for this past few days. Hehehehe!
Me: Bhe, I’m so depressed. I want to cry.
Bhe2x: Why man?
Me: I feel so alone and lonely.
Bhe2x: You have me man.
In times that I feel so depressed, so alone and lonely I am really grateful that Jaydee is always there by my side to cheer me up. Thanks Bhe2x for always there for me even if I am so maldita and unreasonable na kaayo.
